5 THINGS THAT MAKES A T. BARNES EXPERIENCE DIFFERENT FROM INTERNET AND TRAVEL AGENT BOOKINGS?

T. Barnes Travel experiences are not box vacations. T. Barnes personally host her trips and does not send people on their own to any nation. They are done only in countries where we have relationships. T. Barnes guides you through a nation, the culture and the people. The experience is tailored to suit your taste and preferences unlike a trip booked online or through a travel agent, you are guaranteed that your host has experienced the country first-hand and is comfortable moving you through your trip.
Your trip is organized from your flight departure, to arrival, to flight departure. Our trips include flight, all air transfers, private transportation during your trip and a customized itinerary which typically includes breakfast and most dinners. It is all inclusive but with more variety, higher quality food and customization, different from an all-inclusive resort.
All accommodations are amazing properties and have been vetted by T. Barnes herself. We have a solid relationship and partnership with the owners and management, which makes all the difference. We even have vetted the drivers, their temperament and safety when driving.
Inevitability there will be issues to manage on any trip, T. Barnes is an experienced global problem solver with contacts from government to all areas of private sector. It allows the traveler to relax while your issues are handled on the back end with the least amount of stress possible to you.
If you can dream it, T. Barnes can create it within the nations that she works and the network that she has secured over the past 25 years of global travel.

THE IDEAL T. BARNES TRAVELER

As we continue to move throughout the world and make our presence known as the Traveling Diaspora, we realize you have hundreds of options to choose from as it relates to who you chose to travel with.

As we enter this new decade and this new culture of bridging the gap between the Nations of the world and the Diaspora, it is important to us as a company, as a brand, and as people, that we paint a clear and concise picture of what “Our Ideal Traveler” looks like.

Merriam-Webster define a “travel agent” as: a person engaged in selling, and arranging transportation, accommodations, tours, or trips for travelers.

TaNesha Barnes is not a travel agent, and T. Barnes Global Travel is not a travel agency.

“It is past time to recognize that borders between countries are simply a social construction. As humanity moves forward it will be more and more important to recognize ourselves as global citizens without boundaries physically or mentally. Those that are GLOBAL will move through the world as a bridge, a bridge to new experiences, to creating new ways of living together and recovering old ones.” – TaNesha Barnes

This is the spirit in which we travel. This is the experience that we are seeking to create each time the wheels lift off the ground and we face our next destination. If you are thinking of traveling on an upcoming T. Barnes Global Travel trip here are some things to consider:

Based on some of the countries that we travel to, a flexible and creative spirit is needed from your travel professional. There will be times when the location that we are visiting will create roadblocks that are normal life for them, but a hindrance to a visitor. In those moments, itineraries may need to be abandoned for the betterment of the experience. With the full understanding that as someone who knows the country, and the way it operates, a more suitable alternative should be explored.
In other occurrences, a better opportunity could present itself. Over the past years, The T. Barnes Global Lifestyle brand has been invited to speak, sit with, and represent leaders and countries all over the world. As a result, we have a wealth of connections throughout the Nations. If an opportunity arises to share space with a person or group of people that will no doubt enhance the experience, but also foster the culture of bridging the gap, changes will be made. We would rather introduce you to a US Embassy representative over dinner, than take you to a statue. There is nothing wrong with typical tourist activities and we highly encourage them and even offer suggestions for your down time, but again, this is not a travel agency whose focus is to provide you with picturesque selfie opportunities. This is a movement that strives to provide you with investment opportunities. Investment into different Nations, investment into different cultures, and schools of thought – and an investment into our communities both home and abroad.

The Ideal T. Barnes Traveler, is flexible and open minded. While we always offer detailed itineraries before and during our trips, our travelers understand that a new relationship built last night, could affect today’s plan. As a group we are moving you through these Nations in a fashion that most travelers do not get to experience.

The conversations are different, because the company is different – the company is different because our purpose is different.

The Ideal T. Barnes Traveler is moving throughout the world with us, with a spirit of openness and understanding. So often people forget that who you are is who you take out of the country. It is important to assess your energies prior to committing to a trip, with anyone. We create a spirit of unity and oneness as we move through these spaces. Our travelers understand that as humans we all are susceptible to other people’s energies and attitudes. Our Ideal T. Barnes Traveler brings that spirit of unity and oneness to the group, and we nurture that throughout each day.
An Ideal T. Barnes Traveler is considerate of the Nation they are visiting and the people, religion, culture, and belief systems that exist outside of us. Because we often move through these Nations off the beaten path of an average tourist, it is important that our presence is one of respect and appreciation. Quality of life varies and many of us have yet to step outside of our bubble as Americans and experience another person’s quality of life.

What we imagine as “lacking” or “missing” is often seen as unnecessary and frivolous to other people throughout the world. It’s important to remember that an empathetic spirit is not to be confused with a

sympathetic one. It is also important to remember that there will be times when we move through spaces that are poverty stricken in every sense of the word, and those moments, more than any other, require our utmost respect and dignity as well.as language used, attire, gestures, food, respect to religion, and humility are all things to consider when traveling on a T. Barnes Global Travel experience.

For some, this list may seem unnecessary and come as a given. For others, this style of language may be new to you as it relates to travel. This is not meant to deter people from joining us. In fact, it’s meant to intrigue those that have not considered the importance of these factors as well as those of you who already possess the characteristics that we require to move through nations with us. Make no mistake, this is a requirement that we ask of all our travelers. Our responsibility is to expose you to places in a way that no travel agency can or will. To put you shoulder to shoulder with people that you may not find accessible outside of our group. In turn, your responsibility is to be open, flexible, decent, curious, positive, empathetic, and humble as we bridge this gap.

These are the relationships we are building across the globe. We welcome you into this GLOBAL movement and look forward to traveling with you soon.

With Clarity and Intention,

T. Barnes

T. BARNES GLOBAL TRAVEL POLICY

If you are considering traveling with T. Barnes Global Travel please read the following information.

New T. Barnes Global Travel Policy

Please be advised that this information is in addition to the T. Barnes Global Terms and Conditions Travel Contract that is agreed upon and signed when you submit your registration online.

1 . Must have Traveler’s Insurance. This will ensure that you have some protection and coverage if for whatever reason the trip is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances on the part of the participant, T. Barnes Global Travel, or acts of God. It will also allow for emergency medical coverage in the event of an accident or illness.

2. All payments are non-refundable. T. Barnes Global Travel negotiates rates by quantity and other factors. Your monthly payments are used for that effort and will not be returned once paid for any reason.

3. No diversions. You can make changes to flights or other parts of the itinerary on your own and at your own expense. T. Barnes Global Travel will spend no effort in the management of those changes. They are solely the participant’s responsibility. Diversions are STRONGLY discouraged. Typically participants that are clear about the details of the trip, and want to take the planned trip to avoid disappointment and confusion when they follow the itinerary and trip details.

4. Please be clear about what type of trip is planned and ALL the details. Please make sure it is the type of trip you want to take. No changes will be made to suit your preference.

5. What to expect from group travel: Group travel is a particular way to experience a country. You have to know the style of the person who plans the trips. If you have an excellent group leader you can have the benefit of deeper experiences than if you walked into a place off an Expedia booking. A really good group travel planner is going to provide experiences that would be harder to create on your own with no contacts in the country. You have some folks that are history travelers, what you get in the rich history of a particular place you may not get in accommodations. Some people are adventure planners. They may have you jumping off cliffs with bird suits and sleeping in tents. I am a boutique hotel, high luxury, people-centered, off-the-beaten path experience planner. I am always going to deliver on the property, the spa, exceptional warmth, and service environments. My trip typically cannot be achieved as an independent traveler within the same budget. I negotiate high-end properties (when they are available) at more accessible rates within a $3500-$4000 price tag and allow my participants to pay monthly payments over the course of a year. Much of the experiences I provide are built off the relationships I create in my pre-travel planning trips or previous travel to the nation. I never take people to a place I have never been to and to a hotel I did not personally pick and inspect in person. I literally check mattresses, feel the energy, and build intimacy with the staff who will serve us. I have business owners that close their shops to offer us

special attention. All these things together make for a T. Barnes Global Travel experience. My new slogan is “Trust the Trip”. When a person wants and takes the trip that I planned they have an amazing time.

6. Flow of information and timetable over the course of the yearlong payments: Please note that the T. Barnes Global Travel Trips have a flow. It is the same each year. If there is ever a delay in information, please trust that it is to enhance the trip and make it more exciting. What to expect in terms of the flow of information for a trip:

• Trips are announced in December

• Open applications begin in early January

• Acceptance into the trip and registration codes are sent out as received and evaluated.

• Every month from January you receive an invoice from the Wetravel.com booking system which is responsible for tracking payments and sending correspondence about your balance

• April/May The Pre-Travel exploration trip is taken by T. Barnes to prepare in person for your journey in January

• August/September- You receive a Preliminary itinerary

• May-December I am working the relationships I created in April/May to enhance the trip

• November/December -You receive a travel update

• December – Flights are ticketed and you receive the final itinerary

7. Baggage and how to travel: Travel with a lot of excess luggage makes for a difficult journey. We are also traveling to places where baggage can be easily lost or stolen. Therefore traveling in to a country it is strongly encouraged that you travel with a carry on ONLY. When you lose a bag on a trip you waste valuable time being frustrated. Also the need for a lot of clothing is unnecessary because most countries have inexpensive laundry services. If you plan to shop you can buy a cheap bag to package your stuff to bring home. You can also roll a duffel inside your carry on. Please be advised that while most international flights allow for 2 pieces of luggage to be checked for free any local flight if we are traveling within the country will require you to pay to check the luggage. It is typically based on weight. Another reason to pack light.

8. Behavior and Conduct. Group travel is complicated to manage when everyone is positive and happy so it can become extremely uncomfortable with negative attitudes and constant complaining. It is important that each individual manages their own energy for the benefit of the group. Individual issues can be managed privately by requesting a meeting with the T. Barnes Global Travel Assistant. If your issue can not be resolved, a meeting will be organized with T. Barnes. The T. Barnes Global Travel CEO and staff are human beings and are here to serve you and create the best possible travel experiences. No disrespect, yelling or harsh language will be tolerated when dealing with T.Barnes or her staff. If your behavior violates the T. Barnes Global Travel contract any and all legal action will be taken.

9. All payments are due by the 10th of each month. As per our contract after 30 days past due you can and will be removed from the travel roster without reimbursement for any payments made. We depend on your timely payments to properly meet our obligations to our vendors.

The planned itinerary is representative of the types of accommodations, transport and activities planned, but the actual itinerary, including route, schedules, amenities, modes of transport, and other items, may still be subject to alteration or substitution without prior notice. In these cases, we will make every effort to ensure the changes result in an equivalent or better experience for our travelers, but we will not be held liable for any damages or penalties related to these alterations.

In rare cases, due to circumstances beyond our control, and for the comfort, safety and wellbeing of our travelers, it may become necessary to make major changes to our itineraries, including omitting certain destinations or segments of a tour, or even to cancel a departure entirely. Barnes Global Travel is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury sustained as a result of a deviation from the planned itinerary. In advance of departure, if time permits, we may, at our sole and absolute discretion, assist you with deviations for a fee of $50 per person per deviation. However, during the trip, our responsibility is to the group and we absolutely will not participate in the planning of any deviations on the Trip.

T. Barnes Global Travel is not responsible if an airline cancels, reschedules, or delays a flight for any reason. For U.S. travelers, international travel requires a passport valid six (6) months beyond your intended return travel date. In many cases, you will also need to have multiple consecutive blank visa pages within your passport (the number varies depending on the destination(s)). Many destinations also require that visas be obtained prior to travel. It is recommended that you check with the U.S. Department of State website for the latest passport and visa requirements. You should be up to date on your routine vaccines. Depending on the destination, You may come into contact with diseases that are rare in the United States. For example, although measles is rare in the United States, it is more common in other countries. You may need other vaccines before you travel depending on the destination, your medical history, your planned activities, and other health concerns. Discuss the itinerary with your health care provider to make sure You get any destination-specific vaccines and medicines, such as yellow fever vaccine or medicine to prevent malaria. Please check with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for the required vaccinations, if any, of the travel destination.

Cancellation or Substitution by The Company: The Company will make commercially reasonable efforts to keep the Itinerary as it has been published; however, the final Itinerary may vary due to availability and factors beyond our control. We may in our sole discretion substitute services such as hotels or goods of similar quality for any service or good stated in the Itinerary.

We reserve the right to cancel any Trip because of inadequate enrollment that makes the trip economically infeasible to operate or because of our concerns with respect to the safety, health or welfare of our travelers or staff. If we cancel a Trip, our liability is limited to a full refund of your payments to us and we will not be liable for any other costs, damages or refunds of any kind for any loss, delay, inconvenience, disappointment or expense whatsoever in such circumstances. If a Trip in progress must be interrupted or canceled, our liability shall be strictly limited to refund of the recoverable cost of any unused portion of the Trip.

Other Taxes and Fees: Some governments charge departure taxes and/or fees. These fees are the responsibility of each passenger traveling to the designated country and are not included in the Trip price unless stated.

Baggage: We assume no liability for loss or damage to baggage in transit to and from a Trip or while on a Trip. We recommend purchasing a supplemental travel insurance package.

Children: Unless otherwise indicated in the Trip description, all Trip passengers must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. However, some activities contained within an Itinerary may have a different age restriction than the overall minimum age requirement, in which case details will be provided at the time of booking.

Suppliers Acts or Omissions: The Company acts only as an independent contractor to supply or arrange for the travel services named in your Itinerary or otherwise to procure services or goods from third parties such as airlines, hotels and other lodging providers, local hosts, guides, bus lines, car rental companies, driving services, restaurants and providers of entertainment (the “Suppliers”). The Company assumes no responsibility for any personal injury, property damage or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of any act or omission of any of the Suppliers.

Conduct During the Trip: You are responsible for respecting the authority and following the directions of the Trip guide and the laws of the countries in your Itinerary during the Trip. On the Trip, you may be traveling with a group of strangers, and this can sometimes be challenging, especially in a foreign country. To avoid any discord within our groups and to provide our travelers with a positive vacation experience, we reserve the right to reject or remove any traveler whose behavior is determined to be incompatible with the group. If you fail to comply with a decision made by one of our tour managers, interfere with the wellbeing or mobility of the group, or are deemed to be fractious to the group, at the sole discretion of T. Barnes Global Travel and/or our tour managers and representatives, we may ask you to leave the tour. In this case, we will not refund any portion of the package cost, and all expenses incurred by the termination of the touring program are your responsibility. We may also elect not to carry you on any future trips booked. Unfit behavior may include, without limitation, any behavior that, regardless of its cause, is inappropriate or offensive or interferes with the delivery of Trip services or may constitute a hazard or embarrassment. Should you decide for any reason not to participate in certain parts of the Trip or use certain goods included in the Trip, no refunds will be made for those unused parts of the Trip or goods. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any costs, damages, losses or liabilities arising out of your actions or omissions or the actions and omissions of your traveling companions.

Limitation of Liability and Damages: In no event will we be liable for any injury, loss, claim, damage or any special, punitive, exemplary, direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, that arise out of or are in any way connected with the Trip, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Force Majeure: We assume no responsibility for any personal injury, property damage or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of any matter beyond our exclusive control including but not limited to a delay or cancellation that causes you to miss all or any portion of the Trip, acts of God, acts of government, war, terrorist acts, riots, disaster, weather extremes or strikes. We have no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the Suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. You understand that health care standards, facilities and services abroad may be different or even inadequate for treating health conditions. For information concerning possible dangers at foreign destinations, we recommend contacting the Travel Warnings Section of the U.S. State Department at (202) 647-5225 or www.travel.state.gov, and click on “Travel Warnings.” For medical information, we recommend contacting the Centers for Disease Control at (877) FYI-TRIP or www.cdc.gov/travel.

Assumption of Risks and Release: If you participate in activities during your Trip, certain risks and dangers may arise, including, but not limited to, the risk of accidents in remote places without access to medical facilities, transportation or means of rapid evacuation and assistance; the hazards of traveling in unsafe or politically unstable areas or under unsafe conditions; the dangers of civil disturbances, war, extortion, kidnapping and terrorist activities; dangers and risks inherent in activities in underdeveloped countries; and dangers of local law enforcement activity. You hereby expressly assume all of these risks and dangers, and you hereby expressly agree to forever release, discharge and hold us and our agents, employees, officers and directors, harmless against any and all liability, actions, causes of actions, suits, claims and demands of any and every kind and nature whatsoever which you now have or which may hereafter arise out of or in connection with your Trip or participation in any activities in which you participate.

Dispute Resolution: You agree to present any claims against us within ninety (90) days after the Trip ends and to file any suit within one (1) year of the incident, and you acknowledge that this expressly limits the applicable statute of limitations to one (1) year. Any dispute concerning, relating or referring to this Participation Agreement, the Trip Brochure, or any other literature concerning your trip or the Trip shall be resolved exclusively by a court of competent jurisdiction in Danbury, Connecticut. Such proceeding will be governed by the substantive law of the State of Connecticut.

Active Elements, Medical Conditions and Special Assistance: Some of our Trips incorporate active elements such as hiking, climbing or canoeing; you are responsible for familiarizing yourself with the level of activity that will be involved in your Trip. You must disclose in your Participant Information Form (or at such later time when you become aware of such a condition) any existing physical or mental illness, disability, pregnancy or any other condition which may create a health hazard for yourself or others during the Trip or for which you may require medical attention or special accommodation during the Trip. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your needs, but you must notify us at the time of booking for a determination of what assistance we can reasonably provide. We regret that we cannot accommodate you if you have special needs for ordinary daily activities, such as walking and dining. In no instance will our Suppliers or will we physically lift or assist you on to or off any vehicles. If we cannot accommodate your special needs, you must be accompanied by a companion who will be responsible for independently providing the needed assistance.

We reserve the right to decline acceptance of anyone we consider unsuitable due to health or fitness level. We also reserve the right to remove you from the Trip, at your own expense, if your condition is such that it could create a hazard to you or others, or otherwise impact the enjoyment of other passengers.
